Photo challenge {Day 30}

A photo(s) of someone I miss.  Both of my grandma's.  Evelyn Mae at the top, and Ida at the bottom.

The Strawberry Patch barn sale Spring 2011

Christy held her first barn sale last May, then she had another one in the Fall.  Each time it gets bigger and better with a larger attendance.  I am always inspired when I walk around and look at all the things that were done by such talented folks.  I come home with lots of ideas rolling around in my head, not just for my jewelry, but for things I would love to do in my home too.  Here are some of the photos I took, I hope you enjoy them!

My rings and earrings were on display in some vintage ice cube trays lined with dried beans. Cute!

This sofa is circa 1800's. Christy had it recovered and then she did her magic with the paint.

This chest of drawers sold while I was there.  I loved it!!

Such fun pillows!

I love this hutch!

Another cool hutch.

Doesn't this make you want to curl up and read a book?

Love the green!

Very cute sewing table!  Makes me wish I would've held on to the one I got from Freecycle about  4 years ago.  It looked almost exactly like this.

My necklaces hanging on a wire mannequin.

Alicia working on one of her fabulous paintings.

Another talented artist.  I did not get a chance to meet her though.

I love this old bird cage!  Jenny Gale does great work too.

My little sweetheart checking out all the goods. :)

More of Jenny Gale's pieces.  She sews beautiful quilts too.

I love this little table!  (and Elise couldn't keep her hands off the M&M's either!)

Ronnie found the sand box.  He had so much fun just playing, exploring, and following Christy's dog around. :)

More awesome pieces by another talented gal.  Her name is slipping my mind at the moment, and I do not have a blog or Facebook page for her.  But I love her stuff!

These pieces are actually crocheted plastic bags!!  I just love it!  Tara is so talented, here is her Facebook page.  She makes necklaces, earrings, bracelets, rings, headbands, purses, and much more!

These are the purses made out of plastic bags.

Pretty flowers and goodies by the cash register.

More accessories, and a beautiful painting of Christ on the cross.

Christy busy at work. :)

Me and Christy.

Photo challenge {Day 29}

A photo that makes me smile.  This was not an easy one to find just one photo for!  There are MANY photos that make me smile, especially any of them with my kids in it!  But this one is just so sweet.  My midwife was giving Elise her newborn exam after my homebirth, and she was talking to her while she did it.  It was just so precious, and I am glad we caught that moment with a camera.

Photo challenge {day 28}

A photo of something I am afraid of; failing my children.  I know I am human and that I will let them down many times, but it is my prayer constantly to do my best and be the best mommy I can to them.  I want to raise them to know about Jesus, to prepare their hearts for the gospel, to be nurturing, loving, patient, and a good disciplinarian.  I pray that with the Lord's help, I will not fail them too often, or too deeply.

Photo challenge {days 20-27}

Trying to catch up!  Oops! :)

Day 20: A photo of someplace I would like to travel.  Our beautiful country!  So many wonderful things and places to visit, it would take a lifetime to see it all!

Day 21: A photo of something I wish I could forget, the tornado that hit our town 2 years ago.  Scary stuff.

Day 22: A photo of something I wish I was better at; gardening.  This was ours.  FAIL.

Day 23: A photo of my favorite book.  I have MANY favorite books, and I know the obvious one would be the bible.  So rather than be that obvious, I thought I would share another book that I love. I have read this book during both of my pregnancies, and I plan to read it again during my next pregnancy. (no, I am not pregnant right now :)

Day 24: A photo of something I wish I could change; the fact that my kids don't get to see either set of  grandparents very much since we all live in different states (this is my parents with all their grandkids).  But we sure do cherish the times we do get to spend together!

Day 25: A photo of my day. This is literally me today (the 27th). No make up and no shower, wearing pig tails and watching the severe weather reports on TV. Gotta love spring time in the south!  LOL!

Day 26: A photo of something that means a lot to me.  Our church.  I have learned and grown so much in my walk with the Lord from the verse by verse teaching we hear each week.  And I have been blessed with a great place to serve among a wonderful group of people who love the Lord.

Day 27: A photo of me with a family member; my cousin Kelli.  I miss chatting and hanging out with her.  We were very close growing up, we called ourselves "best cousin friends". :)
