What a Knock Out!!

I just LOVE my Knock Out rose bush!  It blooms like that all summer long.  That bush was very small when we first got it a few years ago, and it grew that large in a very short time.  I've actually trimmed it back a couple times.  It would make a great privacy hedge if you planted several together in a row.

And I love seeing my lavender in bloom too.  That one was twice the size last year, I cut at least half of it off a couple months ago.  Ahh spring, my favorite time of the year! :)

If money were no object.....

there are two things I would do weekly until baby comes.  One is get a full body massage, and two is get the Webster adjustment done at the chiropractor.  I know if I had both of these things each week, I would feel SO good!!!! :)

Breakfast at our place

I got this idea from a new found blog friend Erin at The Olive Tree Community.  Here is a small glimpse into our breakfast time in the mornings.

Pregnancy tea for mommy, and Bengal Spice tea for daddy in his travel mug ready to go!

Ezekiel bread toast with organic peanut butter and jelly.

Eggs fried, scrambled, or omlette, depending on the mood that day.  I love this saute pan!  It is a "green" non-stick pan by the Martha Stewart collection.  It is not Teflon, it is some new technology that is not toxic.  Check it out sometime!

Most days we also have fresh avocado slices with our breakfast, but I was out this morning.  And if I do omlette's, then the fillings for it vary based on what I have.  Mushrooms, bell pepper, left over steak, onions, beans, etc.

After the storm

We had  a tornado rip through our town on Good Friday.  It has been classified as an EF3 or EF4, and did quite a bit of damage.  There were 2 fatalities, 47 people hospitalized, 7 of which were critical.  150 homes destroyed, 100 damaged, and many business destroyed as well.  All of these photos were taken just miles from our home.  We saw the tornado from our kitchen window, it was a bit scary to say the least.  I am still thanking God for sparing us, that was a close call.  I did not take the photo of the tornado, that came from someone else.  But at least you can see just how big it was.

Ronnie likes mama's belly

Lately Ronnie has noticed my growing belly and he likes to touch it and pat it with his hands and ask "what's that?"  It is too cute!  I've been telling him there is a baby inside, but he doesn't understand that yet.  :)

Two big boys!

Blaise came over for a couple hours yesterday.  It is so fun to watch them interact and play now that they are older.  Ronnie loves having someone to play with!  He laughs and has so much fun, so I know he will enjoy being a big brother when this baby gets big enough to play with him.

Open door policty

Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

Luke 18:9-14

The second president of the United States, John Adams (and his wife, Abigail), was the first president to occupy the White House. In his day, and for many years afterward, it was possible for average citizens to walk into the White House unannounced to attempt to see the president. Try that today! Multiple levels of security shield the president from the average citizen seeking an audience.

If it's difficult to see the president of the United States, or the leader of any modern country, think how much more difficult it ought to be to have an audience with God. But it's not difficult at all! Scripture tells us that all who have been made pure by the blood of Christ can come "boldly to the throne of grace" to "obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need." But how many take advantage of that free access? If we don't, it's not because we don't need mercy or grace; it's not that we don't have times of need. It's more that we just can't comprehend what it means to have unfettered access to the God of the universe.
Have you entered into God's presence today? The door is open, waiting for you to walk through, if only you will.

The door is closed to prayer unless it is opened with the key of trust.
