Coincidence, or are the puzzle pieces coming together?

Ron and I discuss current events and conspiracy's all the time. Last night we put a few things together that we found very interesting. Here is the e-mail he put together and sent out. I'm not saying anything is "set in stone", but you have to admit, this is all very interesting. Coincidence? Hmmmm........

Ok, this all may be just a coincidence but follow me here

First you got Joe Biden saying to "mark my words, it will not be 6 months before the world tests Barack Obama, watch we're going to have an international crisis a generated crisis" I guarentee you its gonna happen
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=keEsJVrlw6I

And Colin Powell saying that there is going to be a crisis on January 21st or 22nd
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pLPOeQZdHYw&feature=related

Marcy is home during the day and she says that she has noticed that they are testing the Emergency Broadcast System a lot more frequently, I wonder if we'll soon be hearing something like this:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d0og25kcIAI

But don't fear, these guys are here to round us up (I mean help keep us safe) - ABC is launching a new series on January 6th about "Homeland Security"
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lREoeUXNcZM

And they are telling people on the Homeland Security website to be prepared for 2009
http://www.dhs.gov/xnews/releases/pr_1229107288142.shtm

and if your looking for a job they are hiring
http://www.dhs.gov/xabout/careers/

I also have to wonder why the government is mandating the switch to digital tv? Could it be to make sure that everyone is informed of all these events as they occur?

Then I found this article yesterday:

Is the United States going to put dictatorship into effect under the guise of the anti-terrorist struggle? What may trigger another major transformation in 2009? The answer is obvious: another 9/11 in the USA.
Terrible and bloody events are in store for the world in the beginning of 2009. Most likely, the world will witness a reality show with a nuclear blast, which will be used as a reason for the US administration to change the world order again and leave the new Great Depression behind. There is every reason to believe that the Russian Federation may suffer as a result of this possible initiative too.

Joe Biden made a sensational statement on October 19, 2008. He said that Barack Obama would have to undergo an ordeal during the first six months of his stay in the White House. It will be the time of a very serious international crisis, when Obama would have to make tough and possibly unpopular decisions both in home and foreign politics.

Biden said that there were four or five scenarios for the development of the international crisis. Afghanistan, North Korea or the Russian Federation may become the source of one of them.

When Obama learned of Biden’s speech, he tried to explain everything with rhetorical exaggerations. However, Biden’s remarks gave food for thought, taking into consideration the fact that former secretary of state Madeleine Albright described his remarks as statement of fact.

Apparently, the political elite in the United States is certain that their nation would soon suffer another mammoth terrorist act. This assumption became the subject of Michel Chossudovsky’s article “A Second 9/11„: An Integral Part of US Military Doctrine.”

The independent analysts presented a selection of statements, which US top officials released during the recent several years. For example, Michael Chertoff, the Homeland Security Secretary, said at Yale April 7, 2008 that modern technologies let even a small terrorist group kill hundreds of thousands of people. Dick Cheney stated May 26, 2008: “Nobody can guarantee that we won’t be hit again.”

Sure makes you wonder... could all be a coincidence.. I sure hope so!

Brace yourselves folks!

This article alludes to another type of 9/11 to happen in the US, but on a larger scale. If this occurs, this will be how our government will launch us into the New World Order. All I can say is "come quickly Lord Jesus".

USA needs nuclear explosion to turn the world into dictatorship

December 27, 2008

The general public has been prepared for a possible mega terrorist act with hundreds of thousands of victims. The expectation of another major terrorist attack, Chossudovsky wrote, became a part of the US military doctrine to justify possible preemptive strikes, i.e. aggression. The analyst also wrote that the US administration was aiming the efforts of the national security services at the liquidation of the consequences of the Massive Casualty Producing Event. Moreover, the US establishment believes that such an event may unite the Americans. Tommy Franks, the then CENTCOM commander voiced this idea in 2003. He particularly said that another event with many casualties in the USA would revive the support of wartime laws. Franks also said that such an event would mark the end of democracy in America. To put it in a nutshell, it would mark the beginning of the era of dictatorship.

The US administration planned Operation Northwoods in 1962, in which the US incursion into Cuba was supposed to be justified with a massive massacre of the Miami-based Cubans, as well as the explosion of a US warship in Guantanamo Bay. President Kennedy did not let the operation become a reality. The logic of Northwoods does not differ much from that of General Franks - a new mega terrorist act will justify the beginning of USA’s new aggression in the Middle East.

The Pentagon started to develop the plan of the new war in April 2006 – the third war after the campaigns in Iraq and Afghanistan. Stew Bykovsky, a well-known columnist, said in his interview in August 2007 that America needed another 9/11 because the country had forgotten who its enemy was.

Which weapon would make it possible to conduct a major terrorist attack with countless casualties and produce the effect of universal panic? A nuclear weapon would suit this goal best. It would not be a hardship to say that a nuclear explosion was conducted by Islamic terrorists who stole nukes from Russia in the beginning of the 1990s. A nuclear mushroom grows somewhere in the USA and the country launches another war and introduces dictatorship.

Ronnie's Christmas

We are very low key about Christmas.  We don't do Santa, and we don't buy a ton of gifts.  Actually, Ronnie only got one gift from us this year, the other two in the photo above were from his uncle Scott,  aunt Crystal, and cousin Shelbie.  We got Ronnie the Thomas the Tank beginners train set.  We plan to collect more trains and tracks over the years.  We got the wooden set from Target.  We thought it would be a neat thing to collect the wooden train set, a very fun toy for boys.  And girls too!  So here are a few photos from our Christmas this year.  I know it is very "boring" compared to most people's Christmas celebrations, but like I said, we are low key about it.  We don't want to get caught up in the consumerism and hype.  We like to focus on Jesus and His birth,  and for the reason He was born.

Cell phone babies

We watched Blaise a few nights ago.  I had found our old cell phones for Ronnie to play with.  It was just too cute watching them push buttons on the phones, it looked like they are texting each other!  LOL!!  Just like their mommies do back and forth!

Ronnie and I met Roman and his mommy Kimberly at Barnes and Noble this morning so the boys could meet Clifford.  As you can see by their faces, they really liked him!

Atheist holiday

This is a joke that was e-mailed to me, so I had to post it here because it cracked me up!

In Florida , an atheist created a case against the
upcoming Easter & Passover holy days. He hired an
attorney to bring a discrimination case against Christians, Jews &
observances of their holy days. The argument was it was unfair that atheists
had no such recognized day(s).

The case was brought before a judge.
After listening to the passionate presentation by the lawyer, the judge
banged his gavel declaring, 'Case dismissed.'

The lawyer immediately stood objecting
to the ruling saying, 'Your honor, how can you possibly dismiss this case?
The Christians have
Christmas, Easter & others. The Jews have Passover, Yom Kippur & Hanukkah. Yet my client & all
other atheists have no such holidays.'

The judge leaned forward in his chair
saying, 'But you do. Your client, counsel, is woefully ignorant.' The lawyer
said, 'Your Honor, we are unaware of any special observance or holiday for
atheists.'

The judge said, 'The calendar says
April 1st is 'April Fools Day.'
Psalm 14:1 states 'The fool says in his heart, there is no
God.' Thus, it is the opinion of this court, that if your client says there
is no God, then he is a fool. Therefore, April 1st is his
day.

Court is
adjourned.

Ronnie's first snow

This was the fist snow we've had this winter, and could possibly be all we get.  Daddy made Ronnie a snowball, this was the first time Ronnie ever touched snow.  Then a little later this morning, we went outside with our neighbor Blaise and watched the boys discover the snow for the first time.  We sure had fun!

O Holy Night

Here are the lyrics to one of my absolute favorite Christmas hymns. I plan to post the lyrics to some my favorites ones as we lead up to Christ's birth. You can read the passion and conviction the writer had to proclaim Christ's birth and His salvation.

O Holy Night! The stars are brightly shining,
It is the night of the dear Saviour's birth.
Long lay the world in sin and error pining.
Till He appeared and the Soul felt its worth.
A thrill of hope the weary world rejoices,
For yonder breaks a new and glorious morn.
Fall on your knees! O, hear the angel voices!
O night divine, the night when Christ was born;
O night, O Holy Night , O night divine!
O night, O Holy Night , O night divine!

Led by the light of faith serenely beaming,
With glowing hearts by His cradle we stand.
O'er the world a star is sweetly gleaming,
Now come the wisemen from out of the Orient land.
The King of kings lay thus lowly manger;
In all our trials born to be our friends.
He knows our need, our weakness is no stranger,
Behold your King! Before him lowly bend!
Behold your King! Before him lowly bend!

Truly He taught us to love one another,
His law is love and His gospel is peace.
Chains he shall break, for the slave is our brother.
And in his name all oppression shall cease.
Sweet hymns of joy in grateful chorus raise we,
With all our hearts we praise His holy name.
Christ is the Lord! Then ever, ever praise we,
His power and glory ever more proclaim!
His power and glory ever more proclaim!

Christmas hymns

I just love the Christmas hymns that we sing in church during the Christmas season!  We sang some yesterday at church, and we'll be singing them every Sunday through Christmas.  There have not been too many other Christmas songs written since the hymns that truly reflect the real meaning of this season of  Christ's birth.  The writers of the days of old had such passion and conviction to share the message of Christ and the cross to the whole world.  And you can hear it in the lyrics they wrote, and the wonderful music that accompanies it.  In my opinion, there are just not many "new" songs out there that even come close to those wonderful hymns of Christmas.  Here is a neat site where you can find the song sheet and lyrics to all the Christmas hymns.  I hope you enjoy them this Christmas season as much as I do!  Time to turn on some Christmas music here in the house!

Vintage Fisher Price farm set

This is the exact same farm set that I had when I was little.  My mom found it and bought it for Ronnie for Christmas.  And he loves to play with it!  I think I am enjoying playing with it just as much as he is!  Some of the vintage toys are just better than the new ones.  They don't make them as "realistic" looking as they used to.

Having nice neighbors is a blessing!

Even though Ron and I are not big fans of living in a subdivision, I do have to admit that it has been an absolute blessing to have some really nice neighbors! In my 17 months as a stay-at-home mom, I have had to call on my neighbors several times. My neighbor Rachel is a stay-at-home, homeschooling mom. She lives just two houses down. My neighbor Casey is a nurse who works part time and has a little guy Blaise who is the same age as Ronnie. She lives behind us and over one house. Both of these ladies have been a godsend to me when I have needed something. And today was one of those days.

Ronnie had a 3 hour nap today, so by the time he woke up, there wasn't enough time for me to run to the store to get some salsa and sour cream for our fajitas I was fixing for dinner. I sent a text message to Casey to see if she had some at home. She replied back that she was at Walmart and she could pick some up for me. What perfect timing!!!!! When she got here to drop off the salsa and sour cream, I told her I would write her a check, but she didn't want me to pay her for it. What a sweetheart! I plan to return the favor someday, even though she did not want me to pay her. Thank the Lord for friendly neighbors who go out of their way to help! I hope they see me as that kind of neighbor to them, I always want to be able to help someone when they need it.

A day of organizing and simplifying

Wow!!  This is the end result of our hard work today.  My neighbor Rachel came over and helped me get the attic in order.  I posted a photo of it a couple months ago on this blog (sorry, I don't know how to put a link to it here, I am not very sophisticated about all the blogging tricks!)  If you scroll down to my blog archive, and click on September, you will find the post there.  And you will see the huge improvement!  (I don't have the "before" photo on this computer)  All I can say is it is such a breath of fresh air to know that my attic looks so much better now!  I can rest easier knowing that I don't have a huge mess up there that you can barely walk through.

A bunch of stuff was thrown out in the trash, and a bunch of stuff is going to Goodwill.  And almost everything else has a "home" in the attic where I can find it very easy.  I have a few things to organize yet, but that is a cake walk compared to all we did today.  A HUGE thank you to Rachel for your help today, I honestly could not have done it without you!!  I appreciate it more than you know!

Halloween fun!

Ronnie looked so cute in his kangaroo costume!  The nice thing is, he is too young to know what candy is, so we gave his candy away to the trick-or-treaters that came to our door.  We don't know if we will continue this tradition as he gets older, but for now since he is young, it is fun!  We are just not ones to have candy in the house, or eat it often, and we don't want Ronnie to get used to candy either.  So while the dressing up is fun, all the sugar and artificial stuff is not so great.  We'll see how we feel about it next year.

Devotional for today

I Will Come Again

For I know that my Redeemer lives, and He shall stand at last on the earth.
Job 19:25

Recommended Reading
Revelation 11:15-18

Death, murder, drugs, alcohol, kidnapping, abuse, genocide, war casualties, corruption, injustice, starvation, and disease. This is the world in which we live, overwhelming to be sure, but nevertheless the present state of planet earth.

For the person who has no hope beyond the grave, life is a constant struggle to make sense of what's going on in the world while feeling insignificant for not being able to affect change in any noticeable amount. There is no great purpose or future hope to cling to and live for. On the other hand, when you live day in and day out in anticipation of Christ's reign on this earth, everything seems to come into clear view. Though we may never understand the suffering in the world, we know without a shadow of a doubt that our Lord will return and righteously rule, ending all sin and pain.

Jesus tells us in John 14:1-4, "Let not your heart be troubled…. I go to prepare a place for you. And…I will come again and receive you to Myself." That day is approaching ever closer, enriching our spirits with hope in the midst of a desperate and hopeless world. So take heart dear Christians—perfect peace and justice will prevail when Christ ascends His earthly throne.

Rise heart; thy Lord has risen.

Ron's response to e-mail forwards

I am sure many of you have been getting the e-mail forwards lately about the election and praying for our nation. While it is a good thing to pray for our nation, there are even more important things we need to pray for, and ponder on. My husband Ron wrote a response to those forwards with some serious questions we all need to ask ourselves. Please take a moment to read it:

I’ve been getting these kinds of forwards lately and they’ve got me thinking. There are some interesting things going on in our world for sure. When I was out on the road a few weeks ago traveling for work, I heard callers on some of the Christian talk shows say that morality didn't matter to them in this election because their pocket books were more important. This isn't really much of a surprise these days when you look at the state of Christianity in America . The reason that people who claim to be Christians aren't voting with Christian values is because they are not really Christians, it’s just that simple. I realize that is a strong statement to make but how could someone who has truly been born again and changed by God's spirit not care about the morality?
And just to be clear, supporting morality doesn’t make someone a Christian either.

In response to the email, sure we can pray (and we should) but that doesn't mean that God will answers us according to what we ask. If we read and understand the bible, this economic crisis may very well be His plan and purpose for the end to unfold. We would do well to read and understand what the bible says about the end times. We must also understand that maybe God is going to judge America . We have had many warnings over the years. I think back to 9-11 for example, when the country all of a sudden got “spiritual” (which doesn’t necessarily mean people turned to God) for many people were praying to the God of their own choosing. Even though America was founded on biblical principals, it is clear that since that time we have moved further away from that foundation and have become a much more secular nation. Therefore it is no big surprise that we have come to the place where people who claim to be Christian would support a candidate who supports abortion.

The only good news is that God is still in the same place He has always been, and that is on His throne calling ALL the shots. What is ironic is that these world leaders think that they are scheming in secret behind closed doors in private meetings about the financial markets, but in reality, they are playing right into Gods hand and they don't even know it. Some of the reports I hear are very grim and surreal. I’ve been reading up on this economic crisis that we are in. I don’t think that the general public has a clue as to how serious this really is. I’ve read reports that the world is on the verge of economic global meltdown resulting in worldwide devastation.
Now is a real good time to take a strong look within at our spiritual health. We need to seek God- not out of fear for what is coming- but instead for salvation from our deeply wicked and sinful hearts. If we think that what is coming down the road for this world is what is most to be feared, then we'd better think twice. Why? Because each of us will stand individually before God who will judge each and every man and woman according to His perfect standard. And guess what, we all fail by His standard. God demands perfection.

So what is a Christian? Does being born in America make someone a Christian? Does attending church regularly make someone a Christian? Does making a profession of faith and being baptized make someone a Christian? Does voting Republican make someone a Christian? The answer to all of these questions is simply no. We must all ask ourselves this question. Am I a good person? Or even better yet am I perfect, which is what God requires to get into heaven? God will not cut any of us any slack when we stand before Him. Let’s look at it like this. If God were to judge us based on the 10 Commandments how would we fare? Let’s just look at a few of them…. Have you ever told a lie? (even a white lie), Ever stolen anything? (even a piece of candy), ever used God’s Holy name as a curse word? Ever looked at someone with lust? If so Jesus says you have committed adultery with that person in your heart - OUCH!!!!!

Truth is we’re ALL guilty of breaking God’s Commandments, we have all broken every single one of them many, many times over throughout our entire lifetime. Think of the mountain of sin that we build over a lifetime. And we must understand that we cannot do enough good works to make up for our failure, doing good works does not take away the penalty of our sin. Our only hope as lost and sinful people is to repent of our sin, and to trust and acknowledge that Christ’s death upon the cross is the only payment that will meet God’s demand. God is a righteous judge and He doesn’t grade on a curve. If the weight of living a sinful life has burdened us down the only hope we have is in Christ. Only Christ has the power to change us and give us the power to turn away from living a life of sin and instead follow Him.

The question is not do we want to go to heaven, Jesus didn’t die for us simply to go to heaven. We don’t seek God for benefits, that’s not the point of Christ’s cruel death upon the cross. The question is this, does this understanding of our sin against God truly sorrow us? Do we understand that our actions put Christ upon the cross? Each of us are guilty of nailing Him to the cross. Does it bother us that we have offended God by our sin? We have sinned against Him and we must repent, which means to turn from our sin and walk in a different direction.

I think we should be alert and pay attention to what is going on in our world. This is a serious event of the likes we have never seen before. We are seeing scriptural events unfold right before our eyes. Are you ready to meet the Lord? Do you know where you will spend eternity?

Family photos

Taken with iMac Photo Booth.

We got a new "toy"

Since our PC is five years old, and getting rather slow, we decided it was time to get a new one before it crashed on us and we lost all our precious photos.  We have researched the different computers out there for quite some time now, and we decided on an iMac.  And just after having it for a few days, I am VERY impressed!  This computer is a well thought out machine.  It has some neat features and does some really cool stuff!  I am now an official Mac user!  LOL!!!!!

The above photos were taken on a neat feature called Photo Booth.  The iMac has a camera built in to the monitor.  And you can take snapshots of yourself, or video.  This option we did was where it took 4 quick photos, just like you would in a real photo booth.  Too fun!  More to come as I get to know this machine better!

Pumpkin farm

We took Ronnie to a pumpkin farm yesterday. The same farm we took him to last year. But this year of course he was able to really enjoy it since he is older. Ronnie got to see and touch cows, goats, sheep, ducks, pheasants, rabbits, chickens, turkey's, and pigs. He really enjoyed just toddling around at the farm, seeing the animals, playing with the straw, and watching other kids run around. We were not able to get a good photo of him with the pumpkins since he was too busy walking around, but he had fun and got his first experience of farm life!

Psalm 37

This Psalm is very comforting in light of all that is happening in the world today. Let us never forget that God is Sovereign. He created this world, and He is ruling and reigning over it even when things seem to be out of control. Everything is in His control, and He is working all things out according to the purpose of His will, His desire, and His pleasure. Those of us who are His, we need to find our refuge in Him, and not fear all the things going on around us.

Security of Those Who Trust in the LORD, and Insecurity of the Wicked.
A Psalm of David.

Psalm 37

1 Do not fret because of evildoers,
Be not envious toward wrongdoers.

2 For they will wither quickly like the grass
And fade like the green herb.

3 Trust in the LORD and do good;
Dwell in the land and cultivate faithfulness.

4 Delight yourself in the LORD;
And He will give you the desires of your heart.

5 Commit your way to the LORD,
Trust also in Him, and He will do it.

6 He will bring forth your righteousness as the light
And your judgment as the noonday.

7 Rest in the LORD and wait patiently for Him;
Do not fret because of him who prospers in his way,
Because of the man who carries out wicked schemes.

8 Cease from anger and forsake wrath;
Do not fret; it leads only to evildoing.

9 For evildoers will be cut off,
But those who wait for the LORD, they will inherit the land.

10 Yet a little while and the wicked man will be no more;
And you will look carefully for his place and he will not be there.

11 But the humble will inherit the land
And will delight themselves in abundant prosperity.

12 The wicked plots against the righteous
And gnashes at him with his teeth.

13 The Lord laughs at him,
For He sees his day is coming.

14 The wicked have drawn the sword and bent their bow
To cast down the afflicted and the needy,
To slay those who are upright in conduct.

15 Their sword will enter their own heart,
And their bows will be broken.

16 Better is the little of the righteous
Than the abundance of many wicked.

17 For the arms of the wicked will be broken,
But the LORD sustains the righteous.

18 The LORD knows the days of the blameless,
And their inheritance will be forever.

19 They will not be ashamed in the time of evil,
And in the days of famine they will have abundance.

20 But the wicked will perish;
And the enemies of the LORD will be like the glory of the pastures,
They vanish—like smoke they vanish away.

21 The wicked borrows and does not pay back,
But the righteous is gracious and gives.

22 For those blessed by Him will inherit the land,
But those cursed by Him will be cut off.

23 The steps of a man are established by the LORD,
And He delights in his way.

24 When he falls, he will not be hurled headlong,
Because the LORD is the One who holds his hand.

25 I have been young and now I am old,
Yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken
Or his descendants begging bread.

26 All day long he is gracious and lends,
And his descendants are a blessing.

27 Depart from evil and do good,
So you will abide forever.

28 For the LORD loves justice
And does not forsake His godly ones;
They are preserved forever,
But the descendants of the wicked will be cut off.

29 The righteous will inherit the land
And dwell in it forever.

30 The mouth of the righteous utters wisdom,
And his tongue speaks justice.

31 The law of his God is in his heart;
His steps do not slip.

32 The wicked spies upon the righteous
And seeks to kill him.

33 The LORD will not leave him in his hand
Or let him be condemned when he is judged.

34 Wait for the LORD and keep His way,
And He will exalt you to inherit the land;
When the wicked are cut off, you will see it.

35 I have seen a wicked, violent man
Spreading himself like a luxuriant tree in its native soil.

36 Then he passed away, and lo, he was no more;
I sought for him, but he could not be found.

37 Mark the blameless man, and behold the upright;
For the man of peace will have a posterity.

38 But transgressors will be altogether destroyed;
The posterity of the wicked will be cut off.

39 But the salvation of the righteous is from the LORD;
He is their strength in time of trouble.

40 The LORD helps them and delivers them;
He delivers them from the wicked and saves them,
Because they take refuge in Him.

Bath time is fun!

We had lots of bubbles in the bath!

Ronnie sure enjoys his bathtime! He loves to play in the water.

Kitty Cat loves to be with us wherever we are. So she found a place to sit and watch while Ronnie had his bath.

Worried about the future

This is from David Jeremiah's ministry:

Worried About the Future

There is hope in your future, says the Lord. Jeremiah 31:17

Recommended ReadingPsalm 37:37-40

Recently the vice president of a major airline told a group of travel executives, "I've never seen people as worried about the future as they are today." High energy costs, a worsening economy, rogue nuclear nations, threats of terrorism, widespread job layoffs, and tension in the Middle East—all these make for uncertain times.

A British newspaper recently reported on a survey that found one in four older people in the UK so worried about the future they are making themselves ill.What a great time to remember the old Gospel hymn by James Rowe that says: "Dread not the things that are ahead, / The burdens great, the sinking sands, / The thorns that o'er the path are spread, / God holds the future in His hands."

There may be tough days ahead, but the God who has been our help in ages past is our hope for years to come. He knows the future as well as He knows the past, and He promises hope for coming years. We don't know what the future holds, but we know He holds the future.

God holds the future in His hands, And every heart He understands. On Him depend, He is your Friend, He holds the future in His hands. ~James Rowe

I love pumpkin pie!

Pumpkin pie is my all time favorite pie! I usually only make it in the fall, maybe once or twice. I was in Walmart the other day and they had pie pumpkin's on sale. I have always wanted to make a pie using fresh pumpkin, so I bought one. I split the pumpkin in half, scooped out the seeds, cover each half with foil, then baked it for an hour. I then washed the seeds, laid them out on a pizza pan, sprinkled them with salt, and baked them. Pumpkin seeds are a tasty snack!

After the pumpkin had cooled, I scooped it out of the skin, and pureed it in the Vitamix. Then I made my pie crust, mixed the pumpkin with all the ingredients, and baked it. It is absolutely tasty! Probably one of the best pumpkin pie's I've ever had! And this photo shows what is leftover today! LOL!! Ronnie liked it too!

Here is the recipe I used:

1 1/2 cup pumpkin puree
12 oz evaporated milk
2 eggs
3/4 cup Rapadura (unprocessed, unrefined cane sugar)
1/2 tsp salt
1 3/4 tsp pumpkin pie spice

The crust recipe:

1 1/2 cup spelt flour
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup butter
5 tblsp cold water

Once you have it all assembled, bake at 425 for 15 minutes, then reduce heat to 350 and bake for 40 minutes, or until a knife comes out clean. Let cool for 2 hours. Then enjoy!!!!!

Ronnie's ride!

Just a few weeks ago, we decided to put Ronnie in the car cart at Publix. He LOVED it! So now, whenever I go to Publix, I try to find him the car cart. He thinks it is pretty neat!!

Can I borrow $25?

I received this in an e-mail and thought it was worth posting on my blog.

Can I Borrow $25?

A man came home from work late, tired and irritated, to find his 5-year old son waiting for him at the door.
SON: 'Daddy, may I ask you a question?'
DAD: 'Yeah sure, what it is?' replied the man.
SON: 'Daddy, how much do you make an hour?'
DAD: 'That's none of your business. Why do you ask such a thing?' the man said angrily.
SON: 'I just want to know. Please tell me, how much do you make an hour?'
DAD: 'If you must know, I make $50 an hour.'
SON: 'Oh,' the little boy replied, with his head down.
SON: 'Daddy, may I please borrow $25?' The father was furious, 'If the only reason you asked that is so you can borrow some money to buy a silly toy or some other nonsense, then you march yourself straight to your room and go to bed. Think about why you are being so selfish. I don't work hard everyday for such childish frivolities.'

The little boy quietly went to his room and shut the door.The man sat down and started to get even angrier about the little boy's questions.

How dare he ask such questions only to get some money?

After about an hour or so, the man had calmed down, and started to think: Maybe there was something he really needed to buy with that $25.00 and he really didn't ask for money very often. The man went to the door of the little boy's room and opened the door.

'Are you asleep, son?' He asked.

'No daddy, I'm awake,' replied the boy.

'I've been thinking, maybe I was too hard on you earlier' said the man 'It's been a long day and I took out my aggravation on you.

Here's the $25 you asked for.'The little boy sat straight up, smiling.

'Oh, thank you daddy!' He yelled.

Then, reaching under his pillow he pulled out some crumpled up bills.

The man saw that the boy already had money, started to get angry again.

The little boy slowly counted out his money, and then looked up at his father.

'Why do you want more money if you already have some?' the father grumbled.

Because I didn't have enough, but now I do,' the little boy replied.

'Daddy, I have $50 now.

Can I buy an hour of your time?

Please come home early tomorrow.

I would like to have dinner with you.'The father was crushed.

He put his arms around his little son, and he begged for his forgiveness.

It's just a short reminder to all of you working so hard in life.

We should not let time slip through our fingers without having spent some time with those who really matter to us, those close to our hearts.

Do remember to share that $50 worth of your time with someone you love.

If we die tomorrow, the company that we are working for could easily replace us in a matter of hours. But the family & friends we leave behind will feel the loss for the rest of their lives.
