2012 Spring barn sale at The Strawberry Patch

I have been posting about The Strawberry Patch barn sales for a couple years now, and I even sold my jewelry at several of them. She has a Spring and a Fall show, and last year she had a special two day event right before Christmas with her friend Jenny Gale.  Every barn sale gets bigger and better and has a bigger turnout of customers.  Well folks, this one has topped them all so far!  She had it in a real barn on a real farm in Hartsville, TN.  Such a great vibe and so fun!  And it was busy with customers!  I noticed many of the vendors had sold most of their stuff by the time I got there on the last day.  So without further ado, here are my photos for you viewing pleasure!

You pick the tank top color and fabric you like and then she makes a dress for you! Awesome!

Copper cuff bracelets.

Beautiful artwork by Alicia Raney!

These shirts are awesome!  I will own one someday!

I love all those light fixtures!!

I LOVE this bracelet!!  She sold all her items that she made from these vintage military locker tags.  Way too cool!!

I got to meet the gal (Kim) behind the jewelry posted above.  So talented at upcycling vintage jewelry, and a super sweet gal!  I hope to learn some tips and techniques from her soon!

The barn!!!!

Gorgeous rolling hills in Hartsville.  This is part of the pasture where the barn was.

Master bathroom is painted!

Got the master bathroom painted last weekend.  The color is called South Pacific.  I love it!  It makes me think of our Florida vacation last November.  I am reminded of Clearwater Beach, we loved it there!

My latest painting projects

So here is a look at our master bedroom before we painted it.  This was the original flat paint the builder had put in the house when we bought it.  My husband's drum kit now resides in our closet.  He was able to move some shelving around and make it fit inside there all set up.  He can go in the closet and shut the door and play to his hearts content.  Its his own little "woodshed". :)

Here is our bedroom now in the beautiful green called Lettuce Alone.  We bought it at Lowe's.  Such a refreshing, cheerful color!  I will be making curtains for it as well in the near future.  I now own a sewing machine, so I just have to learn how to use it.  And I need to find something to use for a headboard.  I'm thinking a vintage door would look cool.

We painted the nightstands a fun shade of peacock blue that we pulled from the quilt.  I just love this pop of color against the green walls!

The before and after photo of the chest of drawers we painted in a nice chocolate brown color.  We used a brown glaze that we mixed with a little black paint to make it darker.  This is now my husbands chest of drawers for his clothing.  He loves it! (It sits where his drum kit used to be in the top photo).

And this was another piece I painted.  Its a fun little cabinet I got from my parents and it now resides in the hallway between the kids bedrooms.  I just love this color!

The Vintage Marketplace

I went to a vintage/antique show today.  The antique show is usually held here, but this time they added a "vintage marketplace" where they had the artsy, funky junk vendors.  Like my friend Christy with The Strawberry Patch.   Take a look at the fun things I saw today!

Vintage drum made into a coffee table.

I love this old farm table!!

Mirror made from vintage rulers.

Upcycled vintage jewelry.

The Strawberry Patch's booth.

Love the galvanized bucket lamp!

Vintage cheese grater lamp!  So cute!

Notice the register cover used as a message board.

Love the "dream" headboard.

Cute wooden letters and hearts and fabric hoops.

Another gal's booth with some great things!

Annie Sloan chalk paint booth.  I talked with an expert and now know how to use it!  Hopefully soon I will be painting something with it. :)
