{grilled} chicken salad

Every so often I will surprise myself when I come up with a quick, creative idea for a meal.  My husband is really good at doing that, but I seem to struggle at times.  But not today!  I had one piece of grilled chicken left over from dinner last night.  And I quickly thought up a chicken salad by adding some sliced grapes, mayo, and a little salt and pepper.  I mixed it up and placed it on some romaine lettuce which I used as wraps.  Yummy!!  That was a very tasty lunch!!

All these stuffed animals came from either thrift stores or yard sales, and they are in like-new condition.  The Care Bear collection all started with the pink bear that my friend Mandy picked up at a local thrift store.  And of course we had to get the gigantic Nemo for $2 at a yard sale we visited recently.  The kids love it!  But Elise is quite partial to stuffed animals, she likes to hold them, hug them, and "chat" with them.  It is SO cute!

Checking out floor plans for fun

Just a bit of a warning up front, this is going to be a photo heavy blog post! :)  This is a model home in a subdivision not far from us.  I just love the floor plan and layout of this home.  We won't be in the market for a new home for at least a couple of years, but I love to get ideas of what kinds of things I like in a home.  Since our current house is our first home, we now have a better idea of the things we want and don't want in our next home.  For example: we do not want vaulted ceilings or wall to wall carpet in the high traffic areas.  We would like a larger kitchen and larger bedrooms and closets.  Nothing gigantic, just a bit more space for a growing family (and no, I am not expecting yet!) :)  So enjoy this beautiful home called the Milan by Fox Ridge homes.
